- The correct pronunciation for 'Cruithne' is 'croo-een-ya'...
Cruithne is an asteroid in orbit around the Sun. Because it also has an unusual orbit relative to that of the earth it is sometimes called "Earth's second moon". It was named after a semi-mythical people that lived within the British Isles during the Iron Age (Picts).
- Stellar Crystal is a term sometimes used to classify snowflakes. Personally I imagine it to be a translucent object in the sky through which hazy shapes appear.
- A Quasar is a QUASi-stellAR radio source whith variations in luminosity. I tend to think of it as shimmering and pulsating.
